If you travel a lot it is a pain to explain to someone how to feed your tank so I always use this. It is just a small powerhead with a film container stuck to the outflow. The film container has some 1/4" holes in it and it is positioned in the water on the edge of the tank with the top of the container out of the water. Adjust it so that the water just comes out of the 6 or 7 holes and not over the top.
I just keep this contraption running on the front edge of the tank and I have pre mixed frozen food in the freezer. The person feeding the tank just drops in a cube of frozen food that I also have in film containers. It thaws in the film container on the powerhead and gets dispersed throughout the tank. No guessing. ![]() |
