Default This might be weird but...

There are fish that I badly, badly want. Unfortunately, they're in Minnesota and only available for local pick-up. I've found an animal transportation company that often works with aquatic animals, but I just need someone to pick the actual fish up and drive them just a little ways to give them to the transporters. It could be as little a drive as five minutes. I don't expect anyone to do this for free so I'll find some way to pay you, whether it's some monetary compensation or paying for some fish or equipment or something and having it shipped to you...idk, I just need these fish! I'm already attached to them. I love my babies and I want to make sure they get up here okay. If anyone is in the area and we can work something out, I would really, really appreciate it...thank you thank you thank you! :D

What's the fish? And where is the seller located? Sounds to me like they are rare/illegal fish which most would not want to get involved with.

I'm in Saint Paul, but where are you? And where are these fish? Still not sure I want to get involved in this. I need more details.

I'm in CT and the fish are in Minneapolis--I know Minneapolis is broken down somehow into sections but I can't remember their specific location off the top of my head. I plan on using a professional animal transport company to get them to CT, I'm just hoping someone would be willing to pick up the fish and then hand them off to the shipping company at a nearby location. I plan to give more information to anyone who's willing just to protect everyone's privacy. I know this sounds really sketchy just showing up on a forum, lol, but I'm really desperate to get these fish somehow.

Won't the animal transporters do the pickup?

I can look up addresses and stuff, but it would be important to know what the fish are, and stuff like that. Don't want to be one of those people who picks up a package of "fish" at the airport and takes it across town to the "transport" people only to discover when the police pull me over that the fish are really some kind of narcotic or dead panda fetuses or unpasturized cheese that's illegal to import or some such nonsense. In fact, if the transport people are unwilling to go to the airport, I suspect that's exactly what is going on is there is some patsy factor going on. I'd want assurances that I'd be allowed to take the package to the customs desk and open it in front of them and show them exactly what's in it and examine the paperwork before I took it out of the airport or whatever, or that I could take along my brother in law the Minneapolis cop and have him examine the contents before I took posession just for my own protection.

@Snail - The fish are located at a private residence and I'm not sure that the transporting company would go into one. If they would, then I don't need anyone. :P

@jrman - Not sure. I requested a quote but I haven't heard back yet.

@ chris - Okay. :P It's really not anything illegal. I don't even think whoever would help me would be going into an airport. But if I do pay someone for this, then they would probably see the goldfish being removed and packaged for themselves. I get how sketchy this can seem and I get why you want to be precautious...I just really want my fish!

How on earth did this even get on the topic of an airport?? He is stating that the people he wants to get these fish from are unwilling to ship so he wants to have someone local pick them up and bring them to a company that transports animals and has experience with fish? I honestly dont even see how this is considered sketchy. I have seen A LOT of people that are only doing pick up because its a hassle to do shipping and most people aren't setup for it. If I lived closer I would take care of it for you but im down in Louisiana so im no use.

it is important to be careful when dealing with people you don't know. Google reshipping scam, for instance.
