Default Looking for a couple of small plants.

Looking for a few small plants to "finish" my 1.5 gal tank. Mostly looking at dwarf chain swords and/or dwarf sagittaria. I only need a few, about 3 of one or the other, but other suggestions are appreciated.

Be sure to make sure it is dwarf chain sword, lol.I have seen mine labeled as dwarf and pygmy chain, and microsword.Mine gets about six inches tall, and sends runners.I was reading up and its the original E Tenellus, but they have several labeled that.

So that being said,if you want some of it,I would gladly oblige.Just let me know here or through PM.It would be good for the background of that little tank.

lol, I'd be happy to take some off your hands. Do you think the yellowish light would be a problem though? I heard swords need good light

Well, you can always get a CFL bulb for it.Walmart sells some in the pet dept,or you should be able to find one somewhere.
Something like this:Macro-Glo Replacement CF 25 Watt 6400K Lamp

I have had that same fixture,so I know it doesnt have much play room, but I believe this will fit:Aqueon® Colormax Mini Compact Fluorescent Lamp - Lighting & Hoods - Fish - PetSmart

Its basically the same I linked first but as you can see, petsmart sells them, and I am sure you can find the same if not similiar at any petstore.

It says not to go more than 15 watts, but I'll look around, lol, I think the bulb could use changing after 10 years

LOL.most likely. The ones at wally world are made to replace those bulbs. You can always use a table lamp. But ya know, you can always try the plant to see how it does and go from there.I do believe they make some more plant friendly incandescents anyhow.

I see those people the put the grass and trim it down like a lawn, how do suppose they pick up all those clippings. Maybe syphon them out with a water change?

Maybe just stir up the water a bit and net them out? Either would probably work

Yeah they float up so you can just net them.
