Default FS - White worms culture

White Worms

Enchytraeus albidus

$10 - $7 s/h

You will receive 4oz container with worms mixed with dirt, this mix is ready to be transferred to new medium that you prepared prior bidding / purchasing this culture.

For medium I user peat mixed with topsoil (make sure both are Organic, no chemicals added!)
In the small bucket place 1 part of peat, and cover is with rolling hot water. Leave this over night.
This way you can successfully wet peat moss.
Next day squeeze all the water you can from the peat to make it just moist, and mix it with 2 parts of topsoil. Place this mix in the small plastic container (size 8x8x3 I get them from Dollar store).
Make sure that you put 1.5”-2” of this topsoil mix in to this container, spray some water, just to make the mix moist. (Do Not make it soaking wet)
Punch some small holes in the lid for ventilation, cover your newly made mix, and place container in COOL! place.
For successful white worms culturing you will need to follow 3 rules!

1. Keep culture in the COOL place!
2. Keep culture in the COOL place!
3. Keep culture in the COOL place!

If you don’t have COOL place, your white worm culture will die very soon. I went through this myself, trust me !
I keep my culture in the wine cooler (I empty one shelf for my fish food
At 58-60F worms are reproducing! 65-70F they will stop eating and soil will start smelling funny.

Now you are ready to buy.
Upon receiving white worms, empty culture on the top of your soil mix, gently flatten a little, and cover container and place it in the COOL place.
In 2 days you can start feeding your worms.
