The do very well in fine gravel or sand. Large gravel in not the optimum substrate for clams

No Special requirments. Ph 6.0 to 7.6 sand substrate is very good. They will be very happy as long as you keep your water quality good.

I will be ordering some soon. Not sure when. I liked the ones I had, but my fiance accidentally killed them when he medicated the water. :( But would they be ok in the mail in this cold weather? I live in Minnesota, it's freezing!
