Exclamation Unknown snails Help please.

We(family) got back from Massachusetts and Conneticut and we went to a few beaches and i being the one who loves to look at the tidepools found all these cute little snails and don't yell at me please :( but had the impulse to take a few of them They were found around the tidepools not in them but basically among the kelp, seaweed and stuff Now im not stupid so i took some saltwater, empty shells, rocks pebbles sand and seaweed and kelp again please dont yell at me :( they were so cute and i was wondering if i could get a little help? i kinda think there Zebra turbo snails they look a lot like this http://www.liveaquaria.com/images/ca...6199-snail.jpg some have coral on them most of the coral is white but one has this red and pinkish coral base on it not the whole coral on it Hope that is enough to help so replay quickly

if they look like the pic, then they probably are turbo snails.. buuuut, there are a lot of snails in the ocean so we'd need pictures of them to know for sure. As for the coral, that's impossible to tell without a photo.

FYI: taking stuff from the ocean could be potentially illegal and bad for your tank. They can introduce bad parasites and/or things that will get your fish sick or kill coral.

Yes i have an aquarium for them and as for the taking it wasnt a protected beach or something like that and it wasnt like there were say only a few there on estimate there was prolly hundreds of all different sizes and ill try to get pics if i can find the cable to the camera:3 oh and I dont have other fish so its really just them. im not a fish person i like the little tidepool critters

Tell us about the tank you have. What size is it, does it have a light filter etc? And we will try to make some suggestions. Have you worked out what they eat yet? Try seaweed, veg fish food, algae wafers and anything else you think of to see what they like.
