- any wholesale or retail dealers around who actually BUY fish/ plants for money, instead of trying to scam you by offering goods (at RETAIL cost) for your hard-raised progeny?

sell them to friends or put an ad on craigslist or something..... pet stores are useless for that....

Aquabid is another good place to sell your fish and plants. Also, post what you have to sell on forums
