Gold Coast Aquarium Society of South Florida - GCAS This forum is for all members and prospective members of the Society to stay in touch. The GCAS is a casual club of freshwater hobbyists of all experience levels who meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. The meetings start with time to mingle, then a quick review of club business, usually followed by a presentation given by a club member or invited speaker, and finally an auction of fish, plants, and products. Usually we have coffee and cookies for refreshments.

Talking Panda cory update
Now that the fry are a couple of weeks old I've counted 7 twice and 8 twice. hmmm. they are growing fast! get along with the 5 adults and several baby ghost shrimp fine.

anyhoo, of the newly laid eggs on the glass there are about 10 that seem to have been fertilized and are developing. A tiny black dot can be seen inside!

Has everyone seen the Electric Blue Jack Dempsey's they are asking top dollar for?? GORGEOUS!!

Have 9 fry seemingly from 2 different spawns due to the size difference and eggs have hatched and fallen off the glass. soon they'll be wigglers and when freeswimming will then eat. they are getting shrimp and ground flake. growing quickly. too small yet to auction off any at this weeks meeting.
to all BOD....going to look at pond this AM.

I will be bringing some in for auction. tho they already have the parents markings they are too small for Wed. meeting.
Checked out the pond Sunday...all is well..still a little green...fish were active...they munched some shrimp pellets I brought.
