Gold Coast Aquarium Society of South Florida - GCAS This forum is for all members and prospective members of the Society to stay in touch. The GCAS is a casual club of freshwater hobbyists of all experience levels who meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. The meetings start with time to mingle, then a quick review of club business, usually followed by a presentation given by a club member or invited speaker, and finally an auction of fish, plants, and products. Usually we have coffee and cookies for refreshments.

Default Fish Expo!!!!!

4/2/2008
Salutations All,

Just a reminder; our Flamingo Gardens Show takes place this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 5 and 6, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. (3:30 PM on Sunday)

You do not want to miss this event! We have had some generous donations of product from many vendors that will be sold or auctioned during the show. We have fish, equipment, fish food, plants, tanks, and many other goodies for all budgets, which will be of interest to you.

We will officially dedicate the GCAS Flamingo Garden Cichlid Pond on Saturday.

If you have any fish to wish to donate to the pond project or to the fish auctions, please bring them early on Saturday morning. ( Flamingo Gardens opens at 9:30 AM with a reduced admission rate for the show.) Better yet, bring the fish late Friday afternoon.

If you bring fish for display or auction after the show, it is recommended, but not mandatory, that you bring your own tank (max 10 gallon, unless you have a stand) and water. We do have some tanks and water available, but your fish will be happier in your own water. (Let us know in advance if you need tank space.) All fish should have a card identifying the species accompanying the display.

There will be lectures, information booths, and continuous silent auctions during the weekend as well as games, prizes, etc.

There will be a Betta show and auction as well. Fish are being flown in from all over the country and this is your opportunity to see and purchase some championship quality Bettas.

Bring the family and friends. Admission includes access to the 60 acre botanical garden, Aviaries, Bird of Prey exhibit, wildlife exhibits including Panthers, Bobcats, Alligators, Wildlife Encounter Shows, etc.

See you there.

Larry Colvin
