I have a 29 gallon Biocube with 2, 36 watt lights and I was wondering what trpe of coral would be good for a tank like this. I am new to the whole reef tank thing.

You have a lot of options,
LPS: Candy Canes, Galaxea, brains, toadstool, etc... A LOT of softies: kenya tree, mushrooms, anthelia, xenia, etc... No SPS or clams, the lighting is not powerful enough. I would say do a little research on different kinds of corals interest you then post it on here and we can tell you whether they will do well and what you need to know Congrats on the biocube |

Yeah, as far as I know you could keep pretty much any soft corals. If your new, at least for now I would stick with the softies. Then later move on to LPS. As said before, you won't be able to keep SPS unless you upgrade your lighting. Just incase you are interested in that, I believe you can get lighting upgrades on nanotuners.com, or you could just buy a new lighting system. If you decide to do that so you can add SPS corals, don't add any SPS corals until your tank has been established for a while and is very stable.
