Default upgrading my biocube light

i have the 29 gal biocube , but am wanting too upgrade the lighting system ,,is my only alternative the kit from nanocustoms ? really didnt want too start messing and taking apart the whole hood ,,any other options ? am thinking of in the future to start with some easy too care for corals ,,

Default Re: upgrading my biocube light

i took off the entire hood of my nanocube and installed a hanging HQI light, works great :-D got it for like 100 bucks, fixture and ballast. I had to buy the bulb separate.
