Default unusual behavior from tailspot blenny

I got a tailspot blenny for my 12 gallon nano about a week ago. He seems to be acclimating well to the tank. His colors look well most all the time and he is eating food and grazing on algae, however, tonight, while watching my fish, my blenny performed what i can only describe as a barrel-roll. After a few minutes passed, he preceeded to try again, this time only swaying back and forth, reaching a ninety degree angle and not a complete flip. Is this normal or ok behavior or should I be concerned? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

are there any other fish in there? is he doing it in the water column or in the sand? if its in the sand, then its possibly a parasite... but its hard to tell.. he could be just trying to have some fun.

He was doing it in the water column about an inch about the rock where he has laid claim. I've got two percs in the tank with him. They seem to coexist quite peacefully. Any advice on what to do if it is, in fact, a parasite? Bear in mind I have no quarantine tank
