Default New JBJ Nano 28 Gal Startup project

Hey Guys, Just joined the forum since i am starting a new SW tank. I have been without a main tank for about 6 months having moved all my corals and inverts into my office tank after an electrocution of my previous tank.

I received a 28 gal JBJ for Xmas with 105 watt CFs. Everything is just getting started. A pic of my tank(empty and fresh out of box) and pics of the stand i built this weekend.

Question. I have always been super paranoid about stands. Anyone out there think this is not enough for this please let me know. BTW it is just the frame for it, i will be making it look nice with plywood and molding

im hoping these pics work im not sure the best way to post them here... they are also in my gallery

Now you will have a place to rebuild a motor on!
What are your plans for this tank?

So i have spent the past couple of weeks finishing off the stand. I figure since it will be unable to be altered for a long time, i wanted to get it right.

let me know if the pics dont show!

it seems very sturdy especially with the 3/4 inch plywood and trim added on to the outside. the tank sits on top of two sheets of 3/4 inch plywood which is screwed into the 2x4s beneath.

painted it black with rustoleum outdoor paint... i figured it would be better for the saltwater that will be splashing on it. I filled the tank and everything seems good, it has 30 pounds of live sand, and I am adding live rock to it from my friends tank and some extra that i have kept "live" after my last tank died due to electro shock.

Also, good news, I contacted marineland, and they are sending me two new heaters, as well as they said if i send them pics of my tank after the heater killed everything, they will process my claim for all damaged property... im not sure if that means im going to get a decent check, but im hopeful, it will help in stocking my new tank with fish and coral.

Im still deciding on what I want fish wise. I was thinking about a baby fuzzy dwarf (i know i can only keep them for about 6 months before they get too big) i have a good relationship with lfs and they let me swap them out for 50% value. I was also thinking a clown, maybe a 6line, citron, maybe a cherub, firefish... im not sure what mix i want exactly, but those should give you an idea of what im thinking. Any recommendations would be welcome.

Also, I am going to do corals. other than leathers, mushrooms and polyps, what would be good under the 105w cfs? I think i can have a pretty wide range, but i have only ever dabbled with beginner corals.

I look forward to hearing all of your thoughts.
