Default Lets see some nanos!!

Hey all, I want to see (and i'm sure that others do too) all your nanos. nano cubes, biocubes, etc. Everything. Put a discription (lights, pumps, powerheads, livestock, skimmers, etc.) Also if you have modded your nano cubes/biocubes, show your mods too! Lets see how many we can get!

You guys are on at the same time as me. haha... well here's my nano cube dx. Its the 12 gallon, and everything is stock, I just took out the sponges, bioballs, etc. and added live rock instead. There is a 240 gph biocube powerhead. The only fish is an ocellaris clownfish. I have 3 blue leg hermits, and 2 red legs. There are zoanthids, xenia, candy cane, frogspawn, and some green striped mushrooms. I dose calcium once a week on wednesday, and do water changes once a week about 10-15& on saturdays. I feed my fish marine flakes, and then 2 times a week frozen marine cuisine. I also target feed my corals 2 times a week with marine cuisine.

I think its awesome! I really want to start a small salt water tank, because I have never done salt water before and this is exactly what i would want to do. I just need to get some funds together now :D. But really I like your nano tank and I would love to see more pics!

Yeah, maybe I'll take some more close ups of corals and stuff. If you want to set up a SW, I would definately recommend a 12 gallon nano cube dx. The lighting is great for pretty much all the good beginner/intermediate. I think you could probably keep most LPS corals and all softies. SPS will need higher lighting, but they are harder to keep, so if it is your first tank you probably won't want to keep them anyway (at least until the tank has been running for a while) Also, if you have a ten gallon tank laying around, that would make a good nano too. I was actually looking into this option a while ago, and you could get a T5 fixture for a good price and keep most corals. You would just need a filter, heater, blah blah blah (all the standard stuff), and then a powerhead, and LR and sand, all the obvious saltwater stuff. You probably wouldn't even need to dose a 10 gallon unless you had massive amounts of LPS or some SPS. That is probably a good option for you to look into if you are looking to set up a nano. You could get a fairly decent setup for a pretty good price. I believe that contrary to popular belief, nanos are good starter tanks if you are willing to put the time in. Nanos are significantly cheaper than larger tanks, and if you are on an extremely low budget, you could probably go even smaller than a 10 gal. you would just need to really stay on top of things. I'm sure that there are plenty of people that are willing to give you experience, advice, and information. (including me). Just post a thread somewhere logical in the SW forums.

PS:
I really really want to see other peoples nanos, so please post them!!!

Planning on any corals? 3 fish is WAY to much for a 5 gallon just FYI. Your going to have problems in the future. I would recommend getting rid of two of those fish.

No, I'm Planning on keeping it as it is and see what happens. How long you think it's gonna hold before it crashes? It's been running like that 9 days...

Did you cycle the tank? The problem is, the good bacteria in that tank isn't going to be able to handle three fish, especially those three. They all get 2-3 inches when they are full grown. Even if that doesn't crash the fish aren't going to be very happy. That is really crammed.
