Well I traded in my Damsels for a pair of semi Picasso's. Well I think semi. Not really sure what the difference is. I was going to keep the damsels but they were jerks to the clowns. They would heard them into a corner then dart at that scaring them. Anyway tell me what you think.

Some damsels tend to be very territorial, aggressive and hog the food. If you added your clowns after the Damsels, your Damsels had already staked out their territory. In smaller tanks, Clowns should not be with aggresive fish. Small inverts are much better companions.

yeah I know but I bought the damsel to "test the water" I wasn't trying to drop 150 bucks on a test so I bought 2 fish for 8 bucks. I was really looking for what you thought of the clowns lol.

Thanks! I hope they work out too. They're still scared and just stay in a corner where the filter is. They keep their noses in the corner and don't see food when I put it in. Hopefully they don't starve...
I added a clump of chaetomorpha yesterday too. I read on here that it will help keep nitrates in check. The LFS sells it for 5 bucks a handful. One thing I didn't think of though. Can aiptasia hitchhike on chaeto? That shop had it in almost every aquarium like it was nice or something. Aside from that it is very calming. I'm looking at new aquariums already though. I love my 10 gallon but think I would be happier with 30-40 lol... |

you could coax them out of the corner a bit slowly with your finger or something when you have some food in the tank. or put it above their heads.
I'm not sure if aiptasia can hitchhike on that.. I would assume not because it needs something to attach to. maybe look through it and see if you see something? haha, bigger is always better.. and wanted. |

well the new filter scare them out of the corner lol! I was able to drop some frozen brine shrimp in front of them and the current did the rest. They only ate a couple each since they refuse to budge much but some is better than none. They are stressful...

Yea, give it some time and feed them in front of their faces. They just have to become comfortable that the fish isnt there that caused them the stress. Maybe try some "fish protector" by Kordon (or equivelent). it may help the stress by calming them down a little.
