Default Goniopora problem :(

hi i have a 12g nano w/ 2 small clowns, newly added 6line wrasse, CUC, feather duster and a Goniopora coral that was doing great for a month and all of a sudden it stays in the coral and the beautiful tenticles dont come out. salt levels are perfect. amm., nitrates and trites are 0 and ph 8.2 idk what the deal is. Can someone help it was doing soo great till a few days ago i miss it. thank you

That's Goniopora for you. I'd take it out now before it fully dies and causes a huge water quality issue for you. The only Goniopora that I've seen do well are the red ones, especially those cultivated by ORA. If they're any other color, the tend to do fine for a while, then suddenly decline and die.

My Goniopora has the same issue. Its base looks fine, no sign of necrosis but he doesn't always want to extend its hands. Scuff is correct, I would bring it back/sell it back and go for something else. That is what I am in the process of doing. Currently, not enough is known about Goniopora for us aquarists to take good enough care of them so they can thrive in our artificial environments
