What kind of crabs? If you have a red hairy leg crab it will eat the worm. Most other crabs will not bother it if it is healthy. All bets are off if the worm is dying. They may just be cleaning the worms tube if it has algae on the outside of it. I have several different in with a tube worm without any problems. I have mostly blue leg and red leg hermits, but also a Halloween or orange banded crab.
