Default 3 gal nano?

Found a 3 gal tank

Desktop & Small Aquarium Starter Kits: Picotope 3 Gallon Aquarium Kit

OR

Desktop & Starter Aquarium Kit: 3-gallon Deco Kit Aquarium

I think they both look good. Anyway never done saltwater, and would love to do a nano. Can I keep an animal in here like a blue legged hermit crab or sexy shrimp or a fish? Just wondering cause it would be cool to have something interesting to watch. Currently I have a 20 gallon and its cycling for dwarf puffers (should be done in about a week, yay!!) But this small tank is perfect for a large end table I have. Please help me out!

I've looked into this some as well. I've seen videos of people using the Picotope's but the Deco seems like the better way to go(stronger lighting, bigger filter). I wouldn't suggest putting most any fish in there; maybe a damsel... You could however put some shrimp or hermits in there. The only thing to take into consideration with the shrimp and hermits is that they are more delicate so be sure your tank is cycled appropriately. Having not actually started one of these 3g tanks myself, this is about as much input as i am able to give you. sorry... hope this helps

Yeah, I looked into the picotope and the other, but decided not to get one because you can't really keep fish in them. You could definately keep hermits and shrimps. You could keep some corals too, just depending on the lights. I think that the picotope is acrylic so if you don't like acrylic...but yeah, personally I wouldn't keep any fish, and like the other person said, be careful about the shrimp and stuff because they are more sensitive. You will have to top off daily, because if you lose even a little water, it changes the salinity.
Hope this helps!

I had one set up for a year. It was the jbj pico. While I really liked it, I would not recoimmend it to a first time salt water person. Due to the small amount of volume, bigg booboos happen quickly. It started becoming a hassle. I ended up taking it down because my 2 year old daughter poured her milk in the tank because the crabs where thirsty
