It has been 1 week and 2 days since my tank got started up. Noticed brown algae growing. It started last night and now within a couple of hours the brown algae has really spread. At work now so by the time I get home it should be covered. This means the cylce is taking place right? How long should it take before the brown algae goes away? Should I start doing water changes or wait till the whole cycle is over? Also my pH is reading 74. Is this normal when cycling is taking place? I have a pH buffer that can be added to the tank to increase pH but I should wait till equilibrium is placed no? Also my temp is going higher now. What can I do to lower temp?!? Is there a cooler for nano tanks like there are heaters? I do not have any heater placed in the tank as of now mind you. any help will be appreciated thanx.
