First what type of biocube are you getting? Second in order to upgrade on the lighting you have to upgrade the ballast? And third let us know on the progress you made on the biocube once you have done the upgrade.

I have the oceanic 29 gallon biocube. It has the standard lights that came with it when i bought it from the store. Would a nano tuner kit work or would it not make much of a difference.

a biocube has PC lights.. getting T5 will not really make a huge difference.. if your going to the trouble of modding the hood, get a mh. or look for an already modded on.. or get a viper mh, heard they are awsome

I got the nanotuners 4.36 upgrade for my 29G BC. It adds 2 more 36 watt PC lights with a third ballast. It also came with upgraded fans. I think it's worth doing this mod if you want to keep the sleek look of the BC.
