Default Turf Scrubber

I would be interested to hear if any of you folks are using a turf scrubber on your tanks. If so, for how long, how it's working, If you find it equal to or superior to a fuge, and anything else noteworthy. I am considering adding one to my 200 gallon reef but would like to hear your opinions first.

Ive watched a large version of this in action at my local aquaculture facility here in Indiana for quite some time, they run several thousand gallons of retail and wholesale tanks with it as part of their filtration system. The owner, Morgan, could really give you some stats on its effectiveness, my personal experience with it is none, but in theory it should be at least helpful. here is a link to his homepage. You may have to EMAIL Him or Mike, his right hand man for the info but they have had years of experience with it. Good luck

Thanks Jim. I'll get in touch with them and get their input. I'm really hoping to get some reports from folks that are using them on their home aquariums. I've heard a number of pros and only a few cons. I may have to wind up being my own Guinea pig.

I have not used this technique although I have researched it extensively and it looks as though it has some serious potential. I have always wanted to try it out but just never got around to giving it a test run.

If you find some interesting info on this, especially if you choose to set a system like this up, please provide us with the details.
