Default Tricks to quiet a Rio 6hf pump?

I just put in a Rio 6hf water pump in my biocube, and it is fairly loud.....definitely louder than the stock pump. Anyone know any DIY tricks to quieten it down a little?

what kind of noise is it making? it could be that theres too much filter load on it or its intaking bubbles. I looked for a solution but it looks like people think it just runs quiet.. so no help there..

I think I have fixed the problem now. I just simply re-positioned the pump. I think it was just not seated properly in the area where it goes, and was vibrating because it was touching something. It is a tight fit where it goes, so there isn't much room for error in the placement of the pump.
