Default sand in water

Just filled my tank and despite my efforts a lot of extremely fine sand was stirred up. Most of it settled out in a couple of days but the water isn't clear and I know as soon as I turn on my pump, all that fine sand that settled on everything will get stirred back up. How do I filter it out? Most of the fine sand came from the live sand I bought. I didn't think you were supposed to rinse live sand.

I never rinse my sand if its for a deep sand bed, its the fine materials that support the most bacteria and the sand bed critters love.

Bum a couple cups of real established live sand from some friends tanks, once the bacteria starts coating the sand grains it will settle like a rock and stick together.

Oddly enough, I do not know anyone who has a saltwater tank. Turning on the pump did not stir up the sand as I thought it would. I used a turkey baster to puff the sand off of some of the living plants that came on the live rock. As I do water changes of the next few months I will siphon the sand sediment off the rock and dispose of it. The tank isn't clear but I expect it to gradually get that way over the next few days. Much clearer tonight than it was this morning.
I posted a couple of pictures of the tank and sump.
