Default Reverse Osmosis Systems

Hello All.

RHG Products manufacturers filters and RO systems for several industries currently and we have been testing a new system for the Aquarium industry.

Our systems are typically larger than the ones I see being offered currently in your industry and so that leads me to wonder if there is a desire for systems that produce more Gallons per Day then the typical 50-100 or so.

Is there a need to fill tanks faster than that?

Would you benefit from a system that was rated at 600 GPD or 1200 even?

Let us know your thoughts.

Thanks.

Everyone should use RO/DI in their reef systems. Water is the single largest ingredient in our reef tanks so why not provide the best and most stable quality you can?

Shawn, describe your systems or maybe provide a link to data sheets. The GPD you mention is probably more suited for a retail or local fish store but it could fit some end users needs too. I have woned systems as large as 250 GPD myself even though it was probably overkill for my needs.

Obviously correct.

Sure use ro/di.

My point is that a mechanical filter like ro/di is not the only way to provide a stable environment.

With the exception of very small amounts of things like copper, most of our tank toxins come from the bioload and are plant food. And the macro and other algaes that consume those toxins also filter out copper and the like.

But that's just my .02

Hello

Reverse Osmosis plants to convert sea water to potable drinking water and for other usages have been prevalent throughout the world for more than 3 decades.
The sea water Reverse Osmosis membranes have improved in technology and efficiency over the last 15 years. The current technology available for seawater Desalination through Reverse Osmosis System has proven to be cost effective and easily maintainable. With proper process design and efficient conservation of energy sea water Desalination system with Reverse Osmosis can be a long-term solution at an affordable price.
With technologies to save power such as “energy recovery turbines” cost per ltr of Desalinated sea water to potable water can work as low as US$0.001 per litre, including cost of running, maintenance and power.

I have a 300gpd,100gpd and a 25gpd. There is a need to fill tanks fast, especially those of us with much larger tanks then average. I have as well a 300g,100g and 45g poly tanks for storing the water, I use a mag drive 9.5 to transfer water from the series of holding tanks to my tanks via PVC w/ multiple outlets.

Id like to find one that produces alot but for pennies on the dollar. My 300gpd wasnt cheap, it broke the bank but with the fish I keep I find it a staple as said before its the biggest key in fragile livestock environment.
