Default Retractable light hangars

I recently purchased a used metal halide/T5 light fixture which I'd intended to mount over a frag tank underneath a cupboard in our laundry room. There isn't wuite the amount of room betwwn the light and the tank so I'm thinking I want to put it on retractable rails of some type so I can move it back out of the way when I wnat to service the tank, take pictures, etc.

I'm having a tough time finding the extending rails, that need to mount underneath the cabinet, allowing for the light to retract.

I'm looking for suggestions from anyone who might have done a similar thing in a canopy or otherwise. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

How about 6 or 12 inch drawer slides, for kitchen drawers? Mount one or two under the cabinet bottom, the stationary half to the cabinet, the moving half to the light.

Hey mark. Thanks for the suggestion. As the mounting required the clearance over a lip, I wound up buying a couple of extendable hangar rods and then drilling holes through to allow the light to slide forward and back. Works awesome.

Take care,

Mark
