Default LED- Yes or NO?

Hello,

I was just looking at LED light for aquarium, which is fish only for now, i'm planning to ad an anemone and polyps later. Is it ok to put LED light on the tank and use only LED? my favourite is Marineland double bright LED. Aquarium size is 46 gal, 36x18x16.

As long as the fixture puts out the amount of lumens that suits your needs, why not use a more efficient type of lighting?

LED's are the newest and coolest thing, however, they are a little expensive for what you actually get. I do agree with LPUIG though, there are better options ESPECIALLY if you want to keep an anemone (T5HO or Metal Halide). Many reefers use LED with no problems, but I prefer Metal Halide
