LED Question

I currently have T5's on my 65 gallon reef tank and am wanting to upgrade. I had originally planned to switch to HQI's, but am wondering about switching to LED's instead. Can you keep SPS and Anemone's under LED lighting? Would appreciate any info I can get on LED's! THanks!

Re: LED Question

I use true lumen pro leds. They are fantastic. I have 6 4' strips on 75. 2 are blue,4 are white blue fusion. the color is awesome.

Re: LED Question

I have an LED Question...I have a 30" wide 29 Gallon FW Tank that I bought w/ no hood or light. I am wanting to use some LED's and have been doing some online searching. Could I use these and just wire them up into a plug? I thought about getting 3-4 of them and putting them like this:
--------__________
--------__________
Below is the link. It says they are 100% water proof too so I assume they should work.
Here

55 Gallon SW; AquaPro 75 Sump, CPR CS90 Overflow, Power-head, Seaclone 100 Protein Skimmer, 3 clowns & 4 Blue/Green Chromis.

Re: LED Question

You can use those. But you can't just wire them into a plug. They use 12 volts DC, not 120 volts AC. Being as its a Walmart light, it does not describe the lights very well, as far as what type of power source it utilizes. I'm guessing they are 12VDC, as I don't know of any that use 12VAC.
