whats going on with plants
here is a pic of my amazon sword, the leaves are turing brownish color and getting transparent, the tank is 56 gallon tall, ehiem 2217 filter, c02 2 bubbles every 5 secs, t5 lights, gets seachem plant food 3 times a week, water pars are good, has 2 inches of eco complete substrate, 2 angles, 1 guppy and some snails in it, water temp is 78 regular water changes every week

Seeing as how the plants are fairly new to the tank, I'd say it was just a period of acclimation to your tank and as long as the new ones are looking fine I wouldn't worry about it. Are you getting all the micros and macros for them in your fert plan?

Swords are heavy root feeders and take just a little out of the water column. If you have new leaves coming up and looks good trim off the leaves that are browning. I would imagine the sword was grown emersed and is still in transition to being submersed.

cool thanks ben, ill add the gh booster to the order and get that, i have a chart for dosing that i have been using from the website
susan, i trimed the bad leaves off at teh bottom, there are about 10 smaller ones comming in and they look really nice and green
