Default What last fish to add

29 gal planted. I have 8 (going to 5) Serpae Tetras, 5 Harlequin Rasbora and 4 Cory's I'm going to take 3 of the Tetras back.

I need sugestions I was thinking 2 Gourami's. I'm not crazy about Swords but but that is possible. Never had platies before the the rainbow platy looks cool. I'm just looking for something a little differnt. I realize I may be slightly overstocked when I'm done. But will do plenty of water changes. And will soon replace the HOB with a nice canister.

Dwarf gourami are a nice choice for a tank that size.

Actually I got rid of the Serpae's and added a couple of Bolivian Rams. I miss the Serpae's sometimes but really like the Rams.

My tank preference is the Platy. I have a community tank. The Platy comes in so many colours. I would like to buy every colour. Tank not big enough for that yet. I find Platy's are a very hardy fish. They are not as sensitive as other community fish. They take a lot. So to add some colour to your tank add a couple of Platy's. They only grow up to 2" long. Which is a bonus. If you don't want babies, get a couple of males.

I wouldn't recommend a male Betta 'cause some of them will harrass others even in a relatively large community tank. How about some oto's to take care of any algae? That's the only thing that I notice missing in your tank.

I agree, an oto would be a nice addition. If I could find them around here that is what I would have in all my tanks.
