at the moment i have a 20 gallon tank wit: 2 platys, 2 emerald cory cats, and 4 neon tetras. i also have a 10 gallon tank cycling with 2 zebra danios. i WANT to put all of my fish that are in my 20 gallon into my 10 gallon and make my 20 gallon an aggressive or semi-aggressive tank. Will all these fish be able to fit in a ten gallon? i know it will be a little overcrowding but will it still work?
Also, what are some cool fish i could put into my 20 gallon? i was thinking of a gourami with some barbs and a bottom feeder. maybe i could put the danios in the 20, get an opaline gourami, get some cherry barbs, and a bottom feeder. 1.) Will i be able to put my 20 gallon fish into my 10 gallon? (all of them) 2.) could i put an opaline gourami on the 20 gallon tank with: 2 danios, 2 cherry barbs, and a bottom feeder? THANKS JOMA

you should be able to put them all in there as long as you keep up with water changes. But some could probably still stay in the 20 if your only putting in an opaline gourami and the danios, cherry barbs and bottom feeder as the gourami would be the only possibly semi aggressive fish in there. Thats what I think anyways, anyone else feel free to correct me

I would say no on the Opaline Gourami , they are a color morph of the Three Spot and can grow to around 5" to 6" and would need at least a 30/35 gals as an adult . It would be alright as a juvenile in a 20 gal. but would need to be re-homed to a larger aquarium when full grown . They could "survive" in a 20 , but would you want to do that ? Go for a male Dwarf or Honey Gourami , they are beautiful and grow to about 2" or a little better max .
