Website for tropical fish images and information?
hi --
This may be obvious in some way I've not found -- I'm lookng for a website that has a searchable database of freshwater tropical fish with good quality images of them and details about them. My kids always want to know everything that they can about our platys, tetras, and other fish. I can't imagine that one must buy a book in this day and age -- surely there's some website out there that is the best reference for accurate high quality info and images about tropical fish, searchable in different ways. I see lots of sites with info, but they focus on setup, cleaning, operation, or selling fish products. I'm looking for a Wikipedia of tropical fish -- not something more generic, or product-oriented. ideas anyone?? Last edited by treimers : 10-02-2011 at 08:16 PM. |

This is one of the best sites I've found, it's how I learned most of what I know about animals I don't actually have! It's got more than just fish, it's got information and pictures on just about every kind of Critter there is!
