wanting to change to cichlids need ideas
wanting to change tank to cichlids, what do i really need to do, can i put the bigger rock on top of the substrate i have? can i leave the plants in there i have? the LFS here in town will take the fish i have on trade in for the cichlids they have, and they have some really nice ones. is tehre anything different that i need to do as far as care for them really different than the tetras, barbs i have now, any help would be appreciated

Depending on the cichlids your plants won't last long. You need to make a lot of caves out of rock or something and enough to have a cave for each one actually. If your water is soft you might want to add some crushed coral to harden the water.
