I really need some help here guys. Here's the background:
I just bought some fishes, fill them in with tap water, applied anti-chlorine, applied some sea salt, dump the fishes in... Bam! Now the whole tank of fishes are looking very lethargic. They just seem like they are sunk and sat at the bottom of the tank. What should I do to prevent them for dying? I mean... I know they are gonna die if I don't do something, right? |

you need to cycle your tank before adding fish to a tank...
heres some info on cycling. Aquarium Nitrogen Cycle and cycling. Methods for ammonia, nitrite removal.

Do a water change. It never hurts to put in some fresh water. Do you have a test kit to test for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph? Looks like very incompatible fish also.
How big is the tank? How long have fish been in it? Did you add them all at once? |

It was a tank of fresh water... lol. And I don't have any test kits at the moment and the aquashop is closed at this hour (damn). The yellow fishes have been there for a week. The 2 bigger ones have just arrived... I have absolutely no idea about fish compatibility. All I know is that those yellow fishes just "ate" 5 of my neon fishes over last night. Honestly, I think this is gonna be a subject that I'm gonna take really seriously on. Feel free to give me any sort of lecture and advices...!! |

Change 50% of the water and see how they look after. The eating of other fish just goes with my reference to fish that shouldn't be togther. Get a test kit when you get a chance.

So far, you've got incompatible fish, an uncycled tank, and water parameters that would probably kill a snapping turtle. IMHO, about all you can do is start over again. There's a ton of information available here, and a little preliminary research will help prevent another disaster like you have on your hands now. BTW, whoever told you to put sea salt in your tank ought to be horsewhipped.

Dude...do the water change!!! If they sit like that in the tank, your water stinks!! Do nothing and slowly watch them die, one by one.

No. You should be good for a little while. Are the fish acting the same?
Now...how big is this tank? Don't tell me 40l or something like that. |

Did you acclimate them at all before "dumping" them in? They could have went into shock upon being placed in the tank due to differences in pH, temperature, and other differences in the water.
There is a lot of information and helpful people on this site, utilize them to avoid further headaches...fish keeping isn't something to be done in haste or on a whim, the nature of the hobby makes it one of the more difficult ones to successful accomplish.

8-10 Liters? I hope that is mis-typed. If not, there is nothing you can do. All of those fish will eventually die because it is WAY too small. Is there a filter on it?
You need to see if you can take them back. A tank that size may not even be suited for the 5 Neons that got eaten. Goldfish and tropicals do not belong together either. |

Other people have touched on the cycling and acclimation, but I have to tell you that you have incompatible fishies... Goldfish and tropical fish should never be kept together for three main reasons:
1. They have completely different feeding and temperature requirements. 2. Goldfish produce too much ammonia, so they end up poisoning other fish. 3. For some reason, other fish love to snack on goldfish. A friend of mine had some goldfish and mollies in her tank, and the mollies almost bit the goldfish to death! Either make your tank all-goldfish or all-tropical, but they can NOT mix.
