That amount of fish should be fine in that tank. Just make sure you keep on top of your water changes. ^_^
However I'd reconsider putting tiger barbs and guppies together. Tiger barbs can sometimes be known as fin nippers, and males guppies have nice long fins. Usually you can get away with mixing tiger barbs with other fish if you have a decent sized school of tiger barbs (six or seven) as they tend to pick on each other for dominance, leaving your other fish alone.

thats fine for that tank, infact its understocked. cardinals and guppies have a small bioload, I have over 100 guppies in a 40g tank with plenty of room. water levels are 100% fine never fluctuate.

you could do almost 100 cardinals in the 55. they are 1" fish if that and will look rather stunning in the 55.

Cool, thanx for the responses, as you can see i really didnt know about a 55 gallon tank, the last tank i owned was a 110 gallon. With my last tank i never worried about how many fish could fit. lol Again thanx
