Default Too Many Bottomfeeders?

I wonder if I have too many bottom dwellers. I have 3 Oto cats (babies), A 5" Twig catfish, a 1" clown pleco, and a medium sized apple snail; as well as the rest in my signature; all in a 29gal tall.
Thinking I might need to leave my lights on longer to try to get more algae growth, though I have qualms on growing algae on purpose. Not sure on the crowding but everyone seems to have enough room. Definitely the most fish I've ever had in my 29gal.

Twig Catfish needs a little more room imo, as for overstocking, you really can't add more to the tank. You have driftwood for the Pleco?

I have 3 Otos in my 29G, but they rarely feed off the bottom. They usually feed off the glass, the plants, or the driftwood. I put an algae tab in one of the plants (the corys in the tank don't feed there) and the otos will eat it over a day or two.

Put in algae waffers, and veggies.
They all like zucchini.
Don't rely on what grows in your tank

Farlowellas are cool, as long as there is only 1 it should be fine in a 29 gal. I have a breeding group of 8 in a 40 breeder.

Both your Otos and your Pleco arre very efficient Algae eaters so you need to add Algae Waffers. You have room for some surface feeders like Danios or Bettas. Neon or Cardinal Tetras (mid-level feeders) can also be added. A tall tank is also a good place for Angels.

Personally I have come to really admire the bottom-dwelling fish in my tank..cory's specifically. I'm planning on upgrading to a 55gal soon and most of my new fish are going to be either additional cory's or loaches. Currently I have an oto, but like other have said, it tends to stick to the glass when it's not frantically darting around whenever i move in front of the tank, so i dont consider it a bottom dweller. I would say that you're fine with the fish you currently have since there's a good balance of mid/upper and lower level fish and all of them are pretty peaceful in a community setting.
As far as feeding goes, it can be tough to get the guys on the bottom, but veggies and sinking tablets work very well. i like to feed flakes to my swords and drop tablets in the back corners for the catfish so they can get some quality eating time before the others no doubt track down the extra food. i've got to admit tho, i've overdosed my plant fertilizer in the hope of growing algae for the same purpose as you and unless i'm missing something critical, there's no harm done...plus i like the look algae gives to the plants. it's been ~2 months now and my oto is doing great on it's diet of glass algae and wafers so i wouldn't worry about anything

Yeah, I more or less just found it funny that I had gotten so many algae eaters. I didn't get any for cleaning my tank (although now I don't have to myself), but cuz they were neat. I have all kinds of stuff for them to eat. Currently I'm feeding algae tabs, zuc, frozen algae sheets, peas, and shrimp pellets. Though my clown pleco is the least efficient algea eater in my tank. All he eats is wood, never leaves it. I took the driftwood out to attach some java moss and he was IN the wood refusing to leave. All my fish are interesting in their own way, even Twiggy although I'm convinced he thinks he is a stick. Just thought I'd share. Thanks for the advice guys.
