With the limited information you have given, I would say it is a bacterial bloom. Common with a tank that is still cycling. It will clear when the nitrogen cycle has completed.

How old is the set up? Do you have fish in the tank? What are the water parameters, ie ph, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? How are you testing the water and lastly what is your maintenance schedule?? I think that should do :-)

Cloudiness is pretty typical of a new tank. Probably bacteria bloom.

Agreed - cloudiness usually happens in a new tank.... you have no test kit to test the ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH?
