I'm after suggestions on fish I can add to my 6x2x2ft tank. The tank is cycled & matured but I started the stocking again from scratch a couple of weeks ago. The current inhabitants are 1 x Black Belt Cichlid (2.5"), 1 x Green Terror Cichlid (2.5"), 2 x Featherfin Synodontis (3") & 1 x Red Tail Shark (3"). Yes I am aware that the Shark may well become a meal for the Green Terror in the future.
I'm looking for non-cichlid suggestions of what I can add to the tank with these fish.I'm open to most things so long as any Plecos over about 12" are avoided. I've had lots of big Plecos & I'm a bit sick of cleaning up all those poo strings. The fish suggested also need to not be frightened easily like Silver Dollars as the tank is in a busy part of the house. I'm open to schooling fish or one offs so long as they will fit in with the others. Thank you for reading & thank you for any suggestions. PS: There's not many LFS out my way so my choices of fish are a bit limited.

Bushynose? Hell with the size of his tank he could get a full grown common Plec. Your tank is what, 175 gallons or something along those lines?

Thanks for the replies fishman81 & Rohkey.
I've had more Bristlenose/Bushynose Plecos than I can count so I'm not really wanting one of them. I was thinking of a Clown Pleco but the prices near me are kind of ridiculous ($80+) & I've had them before to. I'm not interested in any Plecos over 12" as I mentioned in my first post Rohkey. I think I've got bottom dwellers covered as I managed to find a Striped Raphael yesterday, so I gritted my teeth as I handed over my $50 to get one. I'm also pretty sure I'm going to put 3 or 4 Pictus in the tank. I've had Pictus a few times before but I really like them. So that's the bottom area of the tank covered, maybe even a bit too busy, so I'm after thoughts on what might be able to inhabit the upper half of the tank. I have thought Banded Leporinus but I've never had them & want to be pretty sure they will work out before I spend $25 a pop on them. Anyone have any thoughts about how they would go & that could offer me any insights into thier behaviour?

Ah yeah, I wasn't suggesting you get a common Plec, just mentioning with the size of your tank you could get one. And now that I reread your original post I realize why a BNS Plec was recommended, my bad. I wish I could help more but I've done all my reading and such on fish for smaller tanks. Hatchetfish are pretty cool for top-dwellers if you are into that thing, but not sure on your Leporinus.
