Default Something weird in my tank!!

I was looking over the bottom of my tank earlier today and I found something weird. It looks like an egg but I was thinking that all of my fish were live-bearers. I will post a pic on my picture section if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

Do you have snails of any sort? some times when food or dead snails rot at the bottom of your tank it can form that weird white stuff, it's not uncommon for it to form in a sphere like it does in the pic....
