I am looking at getting one of these light systems...2 bulb strip lights. Which one do you think is better or are there any other suggestions you have that are in the same price range?
I found the T5HO version for under $90 online for a 36". I need 2 since I have 180 Gal tank that is 6' long. This is a freshwater fish only tank, but I like brighter lighting. the Solarmax I believe is 39w x2 bulbs...a 10k and an actinic. Do you think this will give pretty good lighting? this would be less than 1W per gal Are Sunsun and solarmax junk? Thanks for any help/suggestions |

Not sure about the Solarnax or Sunsun varieties, but in my opinion a fixture is a fixture - it's the bulbs that count. Look into some good 6700K bulbs, or a 6700K and a 10,000K - actinic won't do too much for your plants, you'll want bulbs that are more along the lines of broad-daylight bulbs.
