I plan on buying a rope fish tuesday and need to know some more about them because there isnt much info on them.Anyone have any experience with them?

They need some hiding places.
Don't have any sharp or abrasive rocks, shells, gravel etc in the tank. Make sure you either have sand, or small smooth gravel he can burrow through without scraping himself up. They will literally beat, scrape, cut themselves to death trying to burrow or hide if you have sharp or abrasive items.
