Default questions aboout dinosaur birchir

I am really looking at getting a dinosaur birchir and just want to make sure that they won't attack my other fish (tetra, platty, pleco, cory, angel) or cause any other issues

If you place it in a community tank, I fear for the well-being of the tetras and platys... I wouldn't do it. The pleco would be fine.

yeah, bichirs will basically eat anything they can fit in their mouths. your tetras, platies, and especially cories (unless they are big and fat) will all be in danger.

I agree with the above.
However, a polypterus is an absolutely awesome fish to enjoy.

Depending on your tank size, if may be worth it to trade out the smaller fish and go with the Poly.
Or get another tank just for a few bichers.

Check out all the different varieties.
A few examples.
polypterus endilicheri
Polypterus delhizi
Polypterus ornatepinis
Polypterus platinum endli
