Question Question on pregnant fish

We have a new mommy~to~be platty. We have removed her from the aquarium and have put her in a small fish bowl. We were wondering how soon after having the babies should she be moved back into the aquarium??

As soon as possible, otherwise she may eat them!

I would suggest buying an intank nursery that allows for water flow in which to put the fry. Bowls need constant water changes, whereas your tank has a filter. It will save a lot of time and hassle in the long run.

Thank you so much both for answering. We are going to go and check out nurseries at our local pet store, J & K.

I just wanted to post how the Black Wagtail Platy is doing now. Today Dan and I went into town and when we got back home, she had had several Fry. Some of which were small enough to swim through a divider that we had up. We got them back onto the one side with the older fish on the other side.
