If Puffers eat shrimp it is not a behavior per se that you can modify. It is more a natural instinct. You may be able to put out easier attainable things for his diet and he may leave your shrimp alone for the most part, but you cannot train instinct "out" of the fish. Let the alternative food be lite one day and the fish will revert to instinct.
