Question preparing rocks for aquarium?

so i have a lot of good looking rocks that would look cool in my aquarium, buth polished and unpolished. how would i go about getting these safe and ready to put in the tank?

Scrub them well and get rid of any debris on them.

Get a large enough pot and put the rocks in the pot with enough water to cover them with a inch or two to spare.
and boil them for at least 30 min on high.

Let them cool off and they are ready for the tank.

Now be careful that you don't use any lime of calcium rich stones.
that will affect your PH of your water.
and other stones that have a high iron content as that will also ruin the water quality.

Other wise have at it.
