Power Outage Was Rough
Lost power for 6 days. No heat, hot water, lights or cell service. Just got power back today. Needless to say, my tank was not happy. Lost 5 neon tetras, 2 glass tetras and it appears my the cory is on the way out. All 7 buenos aries tetras made it through and look great. Didn't lose a shrimp or nerite snail either. The water temperature went from 75 to 52. Not a fun week.

I've been through that and it was really rough. We lost power for 9 days. tanks dropped to about 34 to 35. It hurts when you loose so many. If you live in an area that does that often I would suggest getting some battery powered airstones. And keep changing water out with warmer water a few times a day or get yourself a generator.
Also another thing on situations like that, make sure your filters are unplugged. Then when the power comes back on clean them before plugging back in. After that long the bacteria in the filters are long gone and you will be cycling again.

We dont typically lose power like that. No water above 35 degrees means no water changes. On a bettet note, looks like the cory may pull through!

Wowthats a lot to lose. Glad its running again. Let me guess you are New England and lost it from the snow we had. My friend just got his on and lost it saturday. Rediculous if u ask me on the time it takes them to get things back up

with this storm we had they didnt bring anyone in. The ice storm we had 2 yrs ago that was amess and tons of different states came. We had the storm on Sat and they stated they wouldnt assess the situation til tuesday...? Not til 3 days after.. that was rediculous
