I have a pump that pumps water through a tube from one tank to another. I have just noticed a pink "growth" inside the tube. It is in natural window light all day. Is this some kind of algae? I just want to know if it is endangering my fishies.

What does it look like? Is it stringy, bushy, long, 'slimy looking'? Can you get a picture of it? Pink Algae
Apparently it's not common in aquariums but can sometimes occur (if this is what you have). Google Image Result for http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo261/jonfairplay/dscn5019.jpg Can't seem to find a cure for it..... all the cures are for pools and would kill your fish.... might just have to resort to wiping it off every time you do a water change.

That video shows it. It's not in my aquarium and isn't an eyesore. I'm just wondering if it's deadly.

If the tube connects to your tanks, then whatever it is, is in your tank for sure. However, although the color is a little strange I suspect it is the same type of stuff that builds up in tubes goiing to filters. Harmless, but not pretty to look at.
