Im going to be setting up a 55 gallon freshwater community tank. along with rasboras and cory's i wanted to add some gouramis. would one pearl and one blue be compatible because i havent found much about this.

Pearl, blue, gold, silver, all the same. I have 2 blue, 2 gold, 2 silver, and they get along just fine.

I would recommend you get a trio of Lace Gouramis. You might get a pair. The Lace have very pretty breeding colors. Big Box stores, where I live, won't stock the Lace Gouramis so I don't see them very often. The Lace is a little shy so make sure there are plenty of plants to hide in. Some people say the Blue is aggresive amd a bully but that hasn't been my experience. I think your Blue would also be happier with a companion.
