parts for old aquarium
The 55 gal I got from my friend is pretty old and only has one hinged glass top. Any idea where I can get parts for it? Seems that it's easier to find parts for newer tanks and this one is pretty old school.

What kinda parts?
If you're looking for a new glass top, and can't find one that will fit from a store/online, source out your local hardware store that cuts glass, or see if your LFS will tell you who makes their tanks. Give them the measurements, how thick ya want it and ask them what kind of hinges they can give ya.

Measure your top where the glass would sit.
Go here : Fish & Pond Supplies | Aquarium & Garden Pond Specialists Up in the search window type in "canopy". Find one that will fit your tank. |

I prefer glass-hinged tops for my tanks... I've a number of glass tops avail and could help ya out if you were close to Richmond, Va. Not really worth the cost of shipping... Is your 55G center braced? Bill in Va.

it has a center brace. They have some at Foster & Smith. I could probably find some cheaper, but I think I'll take the easy way.
