Ich is not fun and can definitely kill fish.... I've not heard of it killing fish so quickly though.... were there other problems with the tank that could have led to stress, which would make them weaker and would make them die faster? (For example: water parameters that are off?)

You should go ahead and read about the Nitrogen Cycle and fishless cycling.

You still need to know about the Nitrogen cycle and and cycling a fish tank for every aquarium.

If you are keeping fish in bowls, you will need to do daily water changes (if you don't have a filter.) You still need to know the Nitrogen Cycle even for fish bowls... anything you keep fish in is going to have to go through the Nitrogen Cycle.

what fish are you keeping in bowls? You need to read up on the nitrogen cycle as stated above, and get the fish out of bowls and in proper setups.

Also I love your avatar.
