Default New fish/snails

Well I just noticed two new fish in my tank today, looks like platies there only about 1/2 inch the other thing I found was one snail about 1/4 inch and 3 or so smaller ones the question I have is should I worry about the snails I don't know what type they are or if they could harm the other fish.. and on the baby platies is there any thing I should do to give them a better chance of surviving.

Did you get this tank already set up? If you have recently added plants, snail could become a nuisance and usually are anyway if you didn't intentionally put them in there.
